Castorama Russia, part of Kingfisher group – Europe’s leading home improvement retailer- opened a new store in Perm on the 27th of March. It is the thirteenth Castorama store in Russia.

    
Currently Castorama has 13 hypermarkets in Russia – the first one was opened in Samara in 2006, then stores appeared in 10 other cities including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod and Omsk etc.

Population of Perm is about 1 000 000. In terms of population Perm is one of the biggest production and economical centers in the Ural region of Russian Federation. In terms of production Perm is the first city of the region, ahead of Chelyabinsk and Ekaterinburg.  So a lot of companies developing their regional structure are interested in Perm. 
There is a huge potential for DIY sales in Perm. More than 660 000 sq. m. of new residential estate was built during 2008-2009.

Castorama is the first international DIY chain in Perm. Before citizens could buy products for home and renovation only at the local supermarkets, open markets or specialized shops. Castorama is the first store where people can find wide range of products at low prices in a comfortable shopping environment. The store has a space of 11 500 sq.m (selling space 9 000) and provides 35,000 products for renovation and dacha from Russian and international suppliers.

Castorama offers wide range of goods for bathroom, kitchen, ceramic tiles, decorative products, flooring and garden products. Besides, it is a good place to purchase tools, hardware and building products both for professional brigades and retail customers. To make it easier Castorama has a separate entrance where customers can load their cars with bulky building materials. 

Castorama offers all important services that customers need such as paint mixing, curtain making, wood cutting, delivery, credit etc.

Besides, in the new hypermarket customers can find inspiration from bathroom and kitchen showrooms areas, new lighting layout, wall and window decorative zones.

Around 30 000 citizens of Perm appreciated range, prices and service of Castorama during the opening day.
